Made a 4-mile run today and it really feels good. I did 3 miles on Thursday and felt like I had some more in me when I was finished, so I just decided to go for it this afternoon.

I made a new playlist for my iPod for running...Starts with ZZ Top's "Tubesnake Boogie" to set the pace, then builds til I hit my stride and goes to some Eagles and slower Lynyrd Skynyrd to regulate my breathing, then finishes out with some Ozzie and G&R when I pick up speed toward the end and need some extra adrenaline.

I know 4 miles isn't a marathon, but at 42 I'm happy as heck to be able to do it.

I know I couldn't run 4 miles with a gun to my head! Good On You!

I can walk a treadmill and do my stairmaster a bit right now, and am working to improve that...

4 miles ie GREAT!! John and Scott run 3 miles everyday after John gets home from work. They take the weekend off. I have not got my exersise routien down yet since moving here, but it will not involve running 4 miles. GOOD JOB!!

Thanks! I gotta tell ya...starting into that third mile, the thing that kept me going (besides Ozzy) was thinking, "I can't wait to get home and blog this!"

Blogging is healthy!

Awesome selections! 4 miles is far, very far. I can't wait for it to get nice so I can start backpacking again.
