Campaign Finance Reform

Hey Mr. Change and Mr. Maverick...which one of you is going to make a REAL reform of campaign finance? Here's what I propose:

Set a cap of, let's say, $0.00.

Political campaigns should not exist in the United States. They're a disgusting and hypocritical waste of resources. A polititian should never be allowed to ask for money to help get elected, period. NO political ads should ever be allowed. Political rallies should be banned completely. Not one thin dime should be spent on such foolishness.

Let the sonsobitches debate every night on television for 90 days. Let them hash out the issues and fight it out night after night. That might keep them at least halfway honest.

While you're at it, do away with the electoral college. I'd like to have a vote that counts.

Who knows? With no political campaign circus, and with a real vote for every American, our country might stop being a fucking joke.

Nothing makes me more ready to be done with an election more than political ads. I sent my mail in ballot back the day it came in the mail. For no other reason than to stop any targeted 'get them to vote' BS. Still, my mailbox is crammed with political crap every day. And because focus groups of morons respond to negative ads, it's not 'I'm a good choice because of 1,2,3...' its "he's a dirty bastard because he eats babies!" or "She's a whore from planet doom!"

I HATE THEM ALL.
